Kyle Davies got off to a slow start and picked it up after that. He’s hoping it’s enough to earn him a spot in Atlanta’s rotation. Davies walked the first three batters he faced Wednesday, then settled down in the Braves’ 8-3 victory over the New York Mets. The right-hander allowed three runs and four hits in five innings, but only one run after the first.
