The Atlanta Braves placed reliever Chad Paronto on the 15-day disabled list Saturday and sent left-hander Macay McBride to the minors to deal with control problems. Paronto hobbled off the field Friday night during the seventh inning of an 11-4 loss to Florida. He strained a muscle near his groin while throwing a pitch.
