The Washington Nationals reinstated right-handed pitcher Jerome Williams from the 15-day disabled list so that he could start Tuesday night against the Atlanta Braves. Williams sprained his left ankle while swinging during an at-bat in his last start, April 28 against the New York Mets. He allowed one run in six innings during a rehab start Thursday for Triple-A Columbus.
