Tim Hudson pitched seven sharp innings, Edgar Renteria hit a tiebreaking double in the eighth and the Atlanta Braves beat the Florida Marlins 6-5 on Saturday night. Renteria’s double off reliever Armando Benitez (2-4) drove in Willie Harris, breaking a 1-1 tie and sending the Braves to their fifth straight win.

Davies still feeling sore on left side (AP)
Kyle Davies wore a big wrap around his torso as he moved slowly through the Braves’ clubhouse on Wednesday. A mild strained left oblique will keep the Atlanta right-hander out of the rotation for a three-game series this weekend at Florida. Davies felt sore and stiff after a bullpen session the previous day.
