    Octavio Dotel was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a right shoulder strain by the Atlanta Braves on Friday. Dotel, who was acquired by the Braves from Kansas City on July 31 for right-hander Kyle Davies, was 0-0 with an 8.31 ERA in five games with the Braves.
