While the Mets look forward to the return of Pedro Martinez, Carlos Delgado and John Maine were putting an end to New York’s recent slide. Delgado hit a three-run homer and Maine gave up only three hits and one run to lead New York to a 7-1 win over the Atlanta Braves on Friday night, stopping the NL East-leading Mets’ losing streak at five games.
