    Atlanta Braves activate Chuck James, add Julio Franco, 2 others to roster (AP)

    The Atlanta Braves activated Chuck James from the 15-day disabled list to start against the New York Mets on Saturday and activated veteran first baseman Julio Franco. The left-handed James, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Aug. 21 because of an impinged left shoulder, is 9-9 with a 4.22 ERA.
