Tim Lincecum pitched eight innings for his first win in more than three weeks and Aaron Rowand homered and drove in three runs and the San Francisco Giants beat the Atlanta Braves 3-2 on Wednesday. Randy Winn added four hits including the 1,500th of his career and scored twice for the Giants, who won for the fourth time in six games after going 4-8 following the All-Star break.

Mike Hampton earned his first victory in nearly three years and hit an RBI double, leading the Atlanta Braves past the San Francisco Giants 11-4 on Tuesday night. The 35-year-old Hampton had to feel great about this outing: He hadn’t won since Aug. 14, 2005, for the Braves against Arizona — 1,087 days earlier.

Matt Cain beat the Braves for the first time in three career tries, Randy Winn doubled in a run and had three hits and the San Francisco Giants won 4-2 against Atlanta on Monday night. Ivan Ochoa and Aaron Rowand each hit RBI singles for San Francisco, which won for the third time in four games and earned just its 21st home victory of 2008.
